Cristina Santabaya holds a dual degree in Law and Business Management from the University of A Coruña, where her thesis examined Managerial Skills in Law Firms. She completed a Master’s in Law, focusing her thesis on Privacy and Data Protection in the Era of Big Data. Additionally, she pursued a Master’s in Innovation Management and Digital Strategy at the same University, where she was honored with a Scholarship for Academic Excellence.
Cristina has also undertaken several specialized courses, most notably an Upskilling Course in Growth Hacking and Marketing Automation at CEU San Pablo University, and is currently enrolled in an intensive course on Artificial Intelligence Applied to Marketing at the Artificial Intelligence Institute.
She has practiced as a lawyer in the specific fields of Civil Law and Immigration Law at the law firm of Miguel Lorenzo, a former Member of the Spanish Congress and former Senator in the Spanish Senate, as well as at the Migration Advisory Unit of the City Council of A Coruña, respectively.
Cristina has also served as Head of Marketing and Communication at LABE Abogados and Legalnet. She also gained experience as Head of Digital Strategy at the legal marketing and communication firm Gericó Associates, which operates in Spain and LATAM.
Currently, she is the Marketing Manager for Spain at Wolters Kluwer Legal Software, where she also takes on significant responsibilities in PR, Corporate Communication, and Customer Engagement. In 2024, she won the company’s internal Excellence in Action Award.
In addition, Cristina has authored several articles on marketing and communication for various specialized digital media outlets in the legal sector in Spain. She has also delivered presentations at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education on the application of technology in law firms and corporate legal departaments, as well as the latest trends in the legal sector.
As a volunteer, Cristina worked with Daukaia, a non-profit organization dedicated to the social integration of children in Ocotal, Nicaragua, through education. During her time there, she contributed her skills in Digital Marketing to help raise funds that support the organization’s humanitarian efforts in the region.
